Hi All,

The past two weeks it has been brilliant to see so many people out ‘enjoying’ the league. So far we have had 40 individuals participating and some great battles. The lap times of those who raced both rounds have improved substantially due to a dryer course last night and everyone getting used to the effort. The average time for the last lap was 40 seconds faster last night than the previous week! If you are into data and stats, or you want to compare your lap times, you can see more here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YfH...ew?usp=sharing

Given the level of interest it has been decided to add in an addition round to the League on September 10th. If we want to keep this going until then, the only way to do so is to ensure that we get the basics right. SO, this is a reminder of what you can do to make sure we can all keep enjoying the league and stay well.

Start / Finish:
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE! Over the past two weeks people have not being keeping their distance from each other at the start and, particularly at the finish. If we want to keep this going we need to ensure that we keep each other safe. EPIC MTB do not want to be the news story about a sports club that allowed the virus to spread because we did not do the basics.

You can do this by:

  • Keeping at least one bike length between you and the next person at the start and finish.
  • At the finish, please move away from the finish line.
  • Spread out and use all the space down around the entrance to Section 1.
  • Do not hover over the shoulder of the person on the laptop.

Whilst Racing:
Spitting/snot rockets!
  • Make sure that you are well clear of others.
  • Please be extra considerate and bear in mind that the wind will carry it.

Cheers,

David
