Club League - Round 1 start times

HI All,

Below are a list of riders who registered and their race number / start times. You will be given a number plate before the race. The start times were taken from the races in July of last year. I know most, myself included, are not as fit as we were but it's the best we can do for the moment.

Looking forward to seeing loads of you out tomorrow.

Given the ongoing Covid thing, remember to collapse 2 meters form the nearest person after you finish - SERIOUSLY!

Round 1 - Results

Well done Tara on the win tonight.
Glenn came in second. Jason in 3rd, BrianW in 4th, and Brendan in 5th.
Only a single lap below 8 minutes with the new section 3, belonging to Mr. Harry Byrne.

Dry and mild tonighr - perfect conditions for the spectators, though maybe a little warm for the racers.

Times in Excel or PDF. A couple of start times may need adjusting for next week!
Also, you were all too quick for me at the start and a few passed me while I waited for the laptop to boot. So I messed up the first lap time for those of you who started before 18:50. I know for next week - allow the laptop 5 minutes to settle.

Well done DaveM and everyone who helped kick start Epic League 2020. Everything seemed to go smoothly.

That was class. Great to see so many members and friends of the club out. The weather was muggy and the course a little slick in places. The new bits of the Section 3 need a bit of bedding in but a few more weeks and it should be riding great. Interesting to see the lap times this year for the very fast lads (Harry and Ben) - The new Section 3 makes its tough to get under the 8 minute mark. Thanks to Gary, Keith and Mick for starting/timing. Apologies to Rory, in particular for the tough start time - you'll be off at 18:59 next week. There will be big shifts in start times next week for some riders (Tara, cough, cough) so keep an eye out. For those that did not get out, hopefully we'll see you next week.

After a tough spin the day before I was not really feeling it on the spin out but I lined up with Colm OB and held onto him for half a lap - after that it as a case of hanging in and trying to push. I really missed the root on section 1 - it sounds weird but I felt slower without it there.
