Won't be along this year unfortunately. Managed to self inflict an embarrassing injury this week. Basically what happens in this video. Except when Chris O'Dowd kicks the ball and hits the woman, for me I pulled a groin muscle and hobbled home... Sad reflection of my sporting prowess

Gave this a go on Sunday, first CX Race in two years. Coarse and conditions were great, definitely the nicest CX course I've ridden. I'd heard that it gets very badly muddied up normally but thanks to a dry week it was not too muddy just a couple of patches. I was in the B race and right from the warm up I had a feeling it was going to be a hard race for me, legs just felt a bit dead. Lined up towards the back of the grid - it turned out that knowing the steward meant you got up the front. He just picked faces he knew and they were up the front, everyone else were just random picks. But in the end that didn't make much of a difference. Half a lap in and my legs were wrecked. Had to slow it down just to make sure I could manage a whole race. Plugged away for 5 laps, thankfully the race leader, who was miles clear of the field and should have been in the A race, put me out of my misery by lapping me near the end of the 5th lap so I was hauled in.
                  Roll on next week.

Congrats to the guys in the A race, good to see a few epic jerseys in there.

Course was in alot better condition than expected, completely different to the last race a couple of years ago. Had a bad start due to me being too nice and casual when the whistle went, also about 30 people somehow managed to be gridded so started at the back again. Lots to work on again but progress being made nonetheless. I managed to hang onto Robin for 30 seconds in the forest when being lapped and was amazed to see the lines he'd picked out that didn't even cross my mind!
