Windy up in GAP today. Sunshine like a summers day. Orwell had their work cut out marking the course. The wind doing its best to shred the course tape. A source of concern was getting wayward tape into the drivetrain. Saw a few heads fishing it out of theirs bikes on the warm up. Myself, Mick, Emmet and Rob McA (parachuting in for one race) on the start line of the B. The course route was new for the venue. A converted field what they'd made the most out of every hill and mound. Some parts were so grassy, it was a slow motion bike race at max heart rate. And no mud today, which could've made it even slower. All good, I slogged around with better fitness than last week. I heard on the tannoy that Mick got 2nd overall. Deadly, fair play.

Well done Ronan and Mick. Could not talk much after the race with my head spinning.. Tough race , but enjoyable. Fair play to Ronan and the Orwell wheelers gang.

Well done lads. Lovely weather for it. Congrats Mick, I think that means you are being promoted (????) to the A's?
