Great stuff lads. Frankly, it sounds like road racing requires advanced MTB and CX skills (and it sounds bloody tough) well done.

Well done lads, sounds like 1 crash too many. It's always good to finish on a high and not hitting the deck!
So, we're all road racing next weekend?

Stage three done and dusted weather was good and only three big crashes to avoid!
Pretty quick at times today as it's mostly flat and the gaps at the front were small so there were a few attacks which the national junior squad (who were very impressive) had to drive to bring back
Big crash at 30k which gene got caught up in and failed to get back to the bunch then another at about 15k to go which myself and Niall managed to avoid
Legs felt ok today so spent most of the day on or around the front and decided to go to the front through blessington to avoid any pile ups at traffic islands or roundabouts drove on til 2k to go and started to drift back as I'm no sprinter was cruising in behind the pellet on when a guy from ushers says 'another gorey done' when boom big pile he ate shit I managed to narrowly avoid it by along sideways across the road and mounting the grass bank to ride around the bodies chain came off, got going and rolled in behind the bunch!
Glad to have came away from the weekend having not hit the Tarmac
With two narrow escapes 196 started and only 126 signed on thismorning for the last stage not sure how many finishers there were, definitely seemed a lot worse carnage-wise than previous years I've ridden it
    Niall finished unscathed too
Now back to the important business of mtb

Big contrast to yesterday for me felt good on the bike and spent the entire day on the front with a couple of goes off the front five laps today as opposed to four in previous years but they went by pretty quick
I managed to get away off the front towards the end of the race and bridge across to a group of three that had went away earlier and the four of us managed to stay away til the line holding about a twenty second gap on the main bunch however we were close to two minutes behind the leading breakaway ahead
Well done lads , sound like you actually enjoyed today.
    Onwards and upwards

The A3's do play havoc in the bunch and I'm not surprised. (from my experience 3 weeks ago). Everyone will be tired tomorrow , but it will probably be the decider of the overall positions. Give it a lash!
