Default Munster XC Series Rnd 1

ok.. I will do a report as a blog later..but in the meantime all I can say is 10 out of 10 to MBCC and everybody involved in todays race.
Now I know people were thinking it was too early to be racing and its too far from the Farmers market in the peoples park in Dun Laoghaire but it was well worth the trip..
2 hours 20 minutes from Eurocycles LMR to traction in horrendous rain.

Even in the rain and the mud getting sticky as the sun dried it out , the track was awesome. maybe I'm jaded, too used to all the multitude of trails I have ridden over the years. Tracton was frickin awesome.. I can't wait to ride it in the dry..
I am so jealous of the MBCC lads having it , its absolutely amazing, even in that weather it was absolutely brilliant to ride. So many brilliant sections but the TNT stretch..I'm sorry but the best bit of trail ever..anywhere..built by hand by prophets.
the Vagina switchbacks ( Vagina head was the marshall ) I can't describe it..I have never seen such a well made bandit trail in my life..
ah I'm not going to go on, see for yourself at the NPS, suffice to say it was the best of the Leadmines, Djouce and the old Lumpers trail with all the singletrack.

It was the best present I could give to myself in years going there today. The benchmark in this Country for XC races in my opinion has always been Robins K Capital cups, this was easily the equal of them..
no delays, no messing, great prizes , a mini tented village, for a pre season Development race, loads of kids..
well done to Jon Hynes, Niall and Dave wilson and absolutely everybody involved..including Richie Felle, Sebastian and the Finnish Hookers ..a great day out..
