So, the last NPS of the yea (http://www.irishxcmtb.com/2011/08/01/the-final-xc-nps-of-2011/)r is just around the corner – and it looks like it’s going to be an amazing one.
A lot of you have fought hard for points all year, so please be aware of the criteria to qualify for an overall placing.
All SENIOR and JUNIOR categories must attend a minimum of 5 races in order to qualify for an overall placing.
All YOUTH categories must attend a minimum of 4 races in order to qualify for an overall placing.

NPS trophies will be assigned to the Top 5 positions (assuming sufficient race attendance numbers), as an example, based upon the current tables, zero trophies will be assigned to SENIOR WOMEN 1 (due to riders not attending required number of races), for SENIOR WOMEN 2, a max. number of 4 trophies will be assigned, for*SENIOR WOMEN 3, 2 trophies will be assigned, for JUNIOR a*max. number of 2 trophies will be assigned etc..
If you DNF’ed in a race, this still counts as having attended a race, so please check the results table here (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40769/MTB%20race%20results/2011%20results/2011%20XC%20league%20tables.xlsx) (Excel file).
In column Y on the “NPS League table (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40769/MTB%20race%20results/2011%20results/2011%20XC%20league%20tables.xlsx)” tab, it shows your points for the best 4 or 5 races, several riders to date have only completed 4 races, and thus show as zero points on the table, once these riders attend the final NPS then their points will be assigned.
For example, in SENIOR 2, Jim Haide has a total of 69 points but does not yet qualify for an overall placing and thus does not have a position assigned, if he had attended another race, he would be in 4th position overall. Another “danger-man” Paul Coyne is in a similar situation with 59 total points, which would put currently put him in 6th place.
In SENIOR 1, Niall Davis has a total of 69 points but does not yet qualify for an overall placing (4 races attended to date) and thus does not have a position assigned, if he had attended another race, he would be in 2nd position overall.
Aiden McDonald has a total of 82 points but does not yet qualify for an overall placing (4 races attended to date) and thus does not have a position assigned, if he had attended another race, he would be in 2nd position overall.
So, moral of the story; watch-out for the danger-men/women!
Ensure to check the XC League tables (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40769/MTB%20race%20results/2011%20results/2011%20XC%20league%20tables.xlsx) to see where you could potentially finish the year and who could unsettle your best-laid plans!

Is that a mistake in the Leinster League tables?

It says that Castlewellan is the final round and doesn't have slade down as a round.
